After a summer of hard work, the boys basketball team officially kicked off their season Oct. 30. Coming back from last season’s 5-20 record, the boys look to change outcome of games by bettering defense on the court and character all around.

“We want to have fun the right way, with hard work. When you’re having fun, you’re winning, and that makes the hard work a whole lot easier,” said coach Darell Davis.

The team hopes that building up chemistry and good attitude will help increase their win percentage, according to Davis.

“We mostly all know how to play with each other, so we have good connections on the court,” junior Max Smallwood said.

Using this new connection, chemistry and attitude the team plans to come into their first game hot on Nov. 16 against Parkway West.
