Q: How many years have you been playing hockey?

A: I’ve been playing for nine years.

Q: How many years have you been on varsity?

A: This is my third year on varsity.

Q: What’s your most memorable moment from hockey?

A: Gold cup my freshman year, where I got into my first ever hockey fight.

Q: What made you want to start playing hockey?

A: My brother and my dad because I wanted to be more like them and I realized it was fun to play.

Q: Who is your idol when it comes to hockey?

A: Sidney Crosby because he’s been my favorite player since 5th grade.

Q: What is your favorite part about hockey?

A: I love hitting other people.

Q: When you skate onto the ice what feeling do you get?

A: I get excited because I love the game.

Q: What gets you hyped up for games?

Rizwan Hyder

Q: What position do you play?

A: I am a shooting guard and small forward.

Q: How many years have you been playing basketball?

A: I started when I was four, so I’ve been playing for about fourteen years.

Q: How many years have you been on varsity?

A: Technically all four years. At the end of freshman year I got pulled up for districts. I played a bit sophomore year, I played a bit junior year, and I played a bit senior year.

Q: How do you feel the team has been performing lately?

A: I feel great because we don’t win a lot. I don’t believe we’ve had a winning streak here like ever, so the fact that we won two in a row is great. I felt accomplished even though I didn’t do much.

Q: What is your goal this season?

A: The goal is to keep getting better. By the time late February comes around when the games matter you want to be playing your best basketball. The process to get there is a long one, but as long as you’re still steadily improving and playing our best in late February then I can say that’s a successful season. I believe we are on the right track for that.

Q: What is your favorite moment from basketball?

A: My sophomore year when Tyler Haynes come on and he hit a three pointer for the JV team. We won that game by three, so in a way we wouldn’t of won the game if he wasn’t there. I also had the assist, so that was kind of cool.

Q: What can the team improve on?

A: In our defense we have lost a lot of people. We started out with thirteen people and now we have seven. If we can work on moving the ball more, stop play more one-on-one, play more as a team, and more importantly play defense well.

Q: What can you improve on?

A: I feel that I can improve the same way. My defense is something I can definitely work on the most. I’ll shoot as much as I want and sometimes shots don’t fall.

Q: Whos your basketball idol?

A: All time I would say Michael Jordan even though that’s a basic answer, but it’s true for me because I was raised in Chicago. I’m a Bulls fan through and through so I would always have to pick Michael. I would also have to say Derrick Rose and Russell Westbrook because they are both really fun to watch.
