With 2017 over many people are looking back at the year that was. With a year of Trump Tweets, Hotdog Filters and the Solar Eclipse, 2017 was an eventful year. The fashion world was just as out there as the rest of pop culture was with clear plastic jeans, full on matching tracksuits and extra long sleeves. While 2017 had some weird fashion topics lets take a look back on the top 2017 woman’s fashion trends, that are a little more wearable.

Athleisure made a big stand in 2017, with cotton shorts a t-shirt and plaid over shirt you could have just been at the gym or you could have just been hanging on your couch. Athleisure was all over the street and stores and with fashion companies like Fabletics, it became a staple go to look for most people.

To go along with the strong feminism movement that was all over during the year a strong empowered look for woman was shown in the fashion world. Stores like H&M showed this off this “working woman” look with corset tops and sweaters, straight legged business pants and booties that are fit for the work place of to just to the store.

Flowers were everywhere in 2017, whether it be embroidered onto jackets, jeans or shirts, or it was just a floral print featured on a dress you couldn’t get away from flowers. Keeping things simple with the floral look was the way most people went with, an all black outfit, belt and a shirt with roses embroidered on it.

Double Denim was the look that no one really asked to return but, denim was a big trend in 2017. Dark wash jeans, minimal design t-shirt and a lighter jean jacket is an easy casual look that people accepted last year. When asked about double denim many people say that it is an awful trend but it came back in 2017 and styled right it can be a great outfit.

What goes better together than velvet and millennial pink, not much. Millennial pink is a term that came up last year as a term for a pink that is kinda rose gold, but muted, kinda like a blush but a bit too peachy and a color that sorta fits barbie pink. Velvet everything exploded last year, with even velvet shoes. An easy way to have a casual trendy outfit combine the two. A velvet millennial pink shirt, some cuffed jeans and ankle booties is a good way to stand out but also fit it.

What should you wear when you need to dress up or just don’t want to wear pants? A slip dress is an easy way to be dressed up but very comfortable. A slip dress is a dress that resembles a slip that is usually worn under clothes but is now made to be seen. All you have to do is put it on and grab some semi fancy and comfortable shoes and you are good to go.
