Ethan Faltisek is a junior on the varsity baseball team. On the season, Faltisek has a record of 1-0 and an ERA of 2.00. In the following Q&A, Faltisek talks about how the season has played out through the opening week of April and how the rain is affecting practice.

Q: How does the rain affect practice on the baseball field?

A: It makes practicing really difficult. It’s always a hassle when it rains on the fields. It creates too many problems.

Q: Where do you go when the fields flooded?

A: We usually go to the wrestling room, and we have to share it with two other teams.

Q: What do you do when the field is completely flooded?

A: We have to vacuum all the water out of the field, and then put a tarp over it so more rain doesn’t get on the field.

Q: How does coach feel about the rain?

A: He’s just like the rest of us. He doesn’t like it. It takes time away from practice.

Q: Besides talking about the rain, how do you feel personally about this year’s season?

A: I feel like the season is going really well. We’re doing a lot better than last season, that’s for sure. We’re doing positive right now.

Q: What do you enjoy the most of during practice?

A: We get to enhance our team chemistry, and fix errors we made in previous games.

Q: What are your goals for this season as a team, and as a player?

A: Team goal is to have a positive record this season. My personal goal is to develop my skills for the upcoming summer season.
