On Friday, November 30, sophomore Natalia Salazar and the girls swimming team competed in the Pattonville tri-meet.The teams that competed in the meet were Francis Howell, Francis Howell North and Pattonville.  She swam the 200 medley relay, 50 meter free, 100 butterfly, and the 400 meter free relay.

“The event that I did best on was the 400 meter relay” Salazar said. “My time was a lot better than expected so I was really happy with that.”

However, Salazar believes she still has more to give this season.

“In the 100 butterfly I wish I would’ve prepared more for it,” Salazar said. “I feel like I’m really out of shape for swimming and I really need to work on my butterfly.”

Their next meet is Friday, December 7, at Ritenour. She is excited to how she can improve from the last meet.

“I want to try to be less nervous and more confident in my abilities,” Salazar said. “I want to really try and get better times to try and qualify for state.”

Salazar is looking forward to upcoming meets and how the end of the season is going to turn out.

“I am really excited to be in the water and give it my all,” Salazar said. “I am looking forward to what I can accomplish this season.”
