On Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018 the mentors will be hosting a “Cocoa and Cram” session. The event will take place in the commons from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., mentor leader Abbie Chruma is excited to see how the event will turn out.

“There will be tutors available, both teachers and students, as well as hot chocolate and cookies,” Chruma said. “I really hope to see people come to this fun, yet productive event.”

The event is open to all that wish to attend and attendance is encouraged. Freshman Evan Becker hopes to have a successful evening including studying and socializing.

“I’m a huge procrastinator, so I would be cramming anyway; plus it’s free study help, hot chocolate and cookies,” Becker said. “I’ll be able to talk with my friends while also studying for our tests which will be a good balance, especially during the stress of finals.”

The mentor program tries to shed a positive light on all school events and activities, so they hope creating a serious, but also enjoyable opportunity for students will bring students together.

“Everyone could use help and if you don’t need any you can be a positive addition and help someone else,” Chruma said. “We chose to sponsor this event because it promotes everything the mentor program stands for which is working towards the betterment of the school.”
