This year, the varsity boys’ basketball team has gone through some rough patches. With a young team, new coach and departure of seniors, the team has had to grow a lot.

Junior Clinton Okoulatsongo transferred from FHHS this year, and this is his first year playing for FHN. While there have been a lot of differences between the two teams, he believes there are key things that team has done well and if they continue to do well, there will be changes in the program.

“We have done well at communicating on defense and passing the ball around to find an open man,” said Okoulatsongo Jr.

Junior Ben Oster has been playing for the program since his freshman year and believes that the team just has to continue to grow together to get better. With Oster on the varsity team this year he has new insights, and believes the team is on the right path to success.

“We have gotten better every game, we don’t always get the result we want,” Oster said. “But we are still getting better as we get towards the second half of the season.”
