UPDATE: This game has been cancelled due to field conditions

The Girls Lacrosse team is currently 1-3. On Mar. 29, the FHN Girls Lacrosse team will be facing off against the Hazelwood East Spartans. Last year the Knights beat them 11-4 in a crucial win. The Knights look to win the game to have an even record and hopefully push them into a winning season. The Spartans went 0-13 last year, only scoring 28 points all season. While North on the other hand went 11-9 scoring 140 points in total for the year. This is only the third game of the season for north so they are still getting in the groove of things and getting back into things.

“We are starting to get the hang of things back. We really prepared for this season and everyone has high hopes for this season.” Senior Autumn Schrader said.

Hazelwood East hasn’t won a game since the 2016-2017 season. North on the other hand has won 12 games since the beginning of last year.

“The team [Francis Howell North] has a lot of good vibes and good spirits. Everyone has a great attitude and everyone works together. We all work hard in practice and it shows in games.” Sophomore Mia Morrison said.

Every game they have played so far have been very close even though they have only won one game out of the four they have played. The margin for error is very slim as they have only lost by five points at the most all season. The other games they have lost have been within one point.

“I’m looking forward to the East game and the rest of the games. East has always been a team we have done good against but they’re actually pretty good this year so we will have to see the outcome.” Senior Mya Huddleston said.
