Throughout high school and college, people often find themselves digging deeper and deeper to find the career path that is just the right fit for them. There are many different careers to choose from, so why not take a look at some nerdy ones?

College junior, Nicholas Bowers, elaborated on how his career of a Graphic designer is considered ‘nerdy’ and what it means to him. Bowers has been building his career while studying at Mizzou, and is involved at an internship at Quick Draw Graphics located in O’Fallon. Bowers feels that his job is considered ‘nerdy’ for many reasons.

“I have to create visual concepts, by hand or using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform or captivate consumers and to me that is as nerdy as it gets, especially when there’s computers involved.”

College senior, Savannah Stover also considers herself to have a pretty ‘nerdy’ career. While studying at the University of Missouri St. Louis (UMSL), Stover has been able to begin developing the career of her dreams, a Software Developer. Stover is currently employed at Javascript Developer in St. Louis, while still attending school to graduate with her bachelor’s degree in computer science.

“I feel my job is super geeky and fun, what I do allows people to do specific tasks on a computer or other device and it’s a job only a nerd would want to do.”
