The holidays are right around the corner and something that always helps to wind down from finals and enjoy your winter break, is to bake some sweet treats. Christmas cookies are a yearly tradition for many but the same old chocolate chip cookies can get boring over the years. Add some flare to the holiday treats and have fun over break with these recipes.

Peanut Butter Cookies

Simple but tasty, peanut butter cookies are easy to bake, as their recipe is similar to most cookies. Adding some peanut butter to a classic cookie recipe instantly adds some flare. Be careful if you have or are serving these to anyone with a peanut allergy.

Hershey Kiss Cookies

While chocolate chip cookies have been done time and time again, you can still add some chocolate flavor to your cookies as well as creating a cute display for you treats. Hershey kiss cookies, similar to peanut butter cookies, following a similar classic cookie recipe, but with the addition of a hershey’s kiss pressed into the center of the cookie. 

White Chocolate Peppermint Cookies

Peppermint is easily a holiday classic. Once December rolls around, peppermint is added to many baked goods as, over the centuries, the flavor has become connected to the holiday season. Add the refreshing flavor to your cookies with some crushed candy canes and white chocolate to create the easy to bake white chocolate peppermint cookies.

Cracker Candy

To really to be ambitious this holiday season, ditch the cookies all together and try a recipe just as sweet. With chocolate, crackers and pecans, cracker candy is a tasty and crunchy treat perfect for any Christmas parties or simple gift.
