The Effects of High School Sports on Student Athletes

Across the nation, nearly 8 million students compete in high school athletics; however, the cons of playing can be costly in terms of sleep, grades, and more. Parker Smith interviews current student athletes, Samuel Wilson and Kendra Swope, on how they view the issues of playing in high school and whether or not they think it’s worth the costs to play. Parker explains the current situation student athletes are facing in today’s world, and presents possible solutions to keep student athletes in the game.
