No I am not talking about the golden arches literally located on every
corner. I am not here to talk about money or power. I am here to help
bring a simple smile to your face and that feeling of sunshine
tingling within yourself.
Depression is worse than it was two generations ago by numbers of
almost ten times. It is a severe issue in our society and I am here to
help it go away!
I want you to try something simple that will bring an impact of joy on
your life. It is not time consuming or a load of work. Â (I mean even
Homer Simpson would be willing to do this.) Before you go to bed
tonight, think about all the good things that happened to you today.
They could consist of personal achievements such as making a sports
team to smaller things such as enjoying a juicy Big Mac. I am sure
there are hundreds of them but narrow down your memories to three and write those down on a piece of paper. If you do not have a piece of paper nearby or somehow lost your pen (that is hiding on your left ear) type them out from your phone or mp3 into the notes section.
After your three have been jotted down, relate back to each of those
moments and consider why they made you happy. You have now finished probably one of the greatest exercises proven to bring joy to your life. After about a week of doing this, you will realize some positive changes in your overall mood and drive towards the day.
Happiness is like an eternal set of dominoes. It will never stop
ending until it reaches across the world. This is just one way to make
the world a happier home. You could be the first domino.
Stay happy,
Ryan Gannon
