The FHNtoday.com crew sat down with senior Nick Iborg for a Q&A about his volleyball career.
FHNtoday.com: How long have you been playing volleyball?
Nick Iborg: “This is my first year playing volleyball for North.”
FHNtoday: How long have you been on varsity?
NI: “This is my first season on North’s varsity team.”
FHNtoday: How did you first get interested in playing volleyball?
NI: “I thought it would be a fun and exciting sport to play in high school.”
FHNtoday: Who is your motivation while playing?
NI: “Coach Mahoney has been my motivation. He is so good at volleyball, and I want to play like him.”
FHNtoday: What has been your biggest accomplishment in your volleyball career?
NI: “I think my biggest accomplishment has been blocking the outside hitters from the teams like Oakville, DeSmet, and Howell.”
FHNtoday: What is your favorite Varsity experience?
NI: “My favorite experience was beating Fort Zumwalt West at home in the third game. All the fans were really loud, and it was a fun game to play in.”
FHNtoday: What do you do to ensure success?
NI: “I make sure that I work hard during our practices so that I have the same intensity during our games.”
