FROM THE NURSES –   We have seen an increase in the number of students being seen for cold/flu symptoms. We thought it would be helpful to remind everyone of the FHSD fever policy.
Any student with a fever of 100 degrees or above will be excluded from attending school. The student should be fever free for 24 hours without the use of acetaminophen or ibuprofen.

Students who become sick at school should report to the nurse for assessment. Parents will then be contacted if the child has a fever. By students signing out with the nurse, it will help us keep track of the illnesses in our building. 1/31 Nurses

Save the Date for Parent Safety Meetings

The Francis Howell School District (FHSD) strives to have all of our school buildings be safe, secure, warm, and inviting places for children to learn. In light of the events that occurred in Connecticut at Sandy Hook Elementary School, the District is reexamining its current safety procedures and also exploring additional ways to keep the entire school community safe.

FHSD will be holding two upcoming safety meetings to give parents the opportunity to obtain general information regarding our current safety procedures and to hear about your ideas and concerns regarding the safety.

Please join us at one of the parent safety meetings which will be held on:

January 29, 2013 at 6:30 PM at Saeger Middle School

February 5, 2013 at 6:30 PM at Warren Elementary School
