What I’m Interested In: Panera Bread
Many people around school know me as the “Bagel Kid,” “Bread Boy,” or even as “Mother Bread.” It may be strange, but I have a deep passion for Panera Bread. Not only do I have a part-time job there, but it’s also my go-to place for getting homework done, hanging out with friends or just to relax for a little while. There are many people out there who use the national bakery-cafe chain as their everyday oasis, too. The food is fresh, bread is baked daily, soups are hot and salads are light and healthy. It’s a good pick-me-up for the middle of the day.
I don’t see Panera as just another restaurant. It’s an influential company that others follow. Take for example the Rapid Pick-Up feature. I just used it this morning, actually. It’s a way to place your order from home, work or school and go to the cafe to pick up your breakfast, lunch or dinner. Some cafes are even starting delivery service. While this is something we’ve seen in the past from pizza chains and other similar restaurants, this will mean that a national favorite will soon be available right at your doorstep. Want to earn a MyPanera reward? Just take a few moments out of your day to visit PaneraLandofClean.com to “clean up” and learn about the items that Panera has on its No No list.
Next time pass by a location with the friendly-looking lady plastered on the sign holding a loaf of bread, consider the good food that awaits you. It really is Food as it Should Be.
