What I’m Interested In: Politics

I am interested in current events and politics, particularly various social movements that are taking place (Me Too, the feminist movement as a whole, etc.). I’m also interested in the various facets involved in the process of electing an official to office. The zeitgeist of the current age is one of increasing acceptance and fear, in almost equal amounts. This contradiction is what piques my interest: American society is so willing to go forward, but is also afraid of what problems the future may hold. I hope that by educating myself on politics, I can become part of a (hopefully) less afraid future.
