Enjoy it While it Lasts
You’ve finally made it to your final year in high school, and everything before that has probably felt like a long journey that seemingly felt as if it was never going to come to an end. But this isn’t the case for your senior year. Trust me. Your senior year will fly right by, from your first month back in school to your last. So my one piece of advice is for you to enjoy it, because this year is dedicated to you.
All of your teachers know that you’ve just about made it, and are the veterans of the school. With this, they’ll treat you with more respect than in any other year…if you do it right. Senioritis will probably be an issue, I get that, but if you can overcome some of it and at least try in those classes, your teachers will reward you by making this the most laid back and fun year of your schooling career.
Also enjoy everything that you get to do this year, or do for the last time. This will be your last homecoming football game, or last school dance, so savor each and every moment of these things and enjoy it. The stars of each pep assembly are the seniors, so enjoy that too. There are breakfasts, awards nights dedicated to you, and graduation at the very end of it. This is all for you, and all you’ve done in your 13 or so years of education. So enjoy it, enjoy it while it lasts.
