On 6th Street in St. Charles at a cemetery, many pay respects to others that have passed. Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery and St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery joined together to make one. This cemetery is made up of two different church’s.

There are many unique qualities about this cemetery. There are tombstones that date back to before the 1800s and it has over 4000 memorials. Throughout the cemetery there is statues of angels, Jesus on the cross, and many other beautifully crafted statues. Some structures are worn down over time and pieces have started to break off. That does not stop any one from putting fall, halloween and sentimental decor all around the statues and tombstones. Both Immanuel Lutheran church and St. Peters Catholic church came together to merge the fallen to be a bigger section all together where others can come and pay respects. (Photo Story by Liv Engle)
