Friday Face-Off: Apple vs Samsung
Published: March 11, 2022
The two choices most smartphone users have to choose between are an Apple phone or a Samsung phone. Both of these phones have their benefits and downfalls, but today one will reign over the other.
Apple
Apple phones already are and will continue to be better than Samsung phones. Their design, accessibility, technology and user-friendliness is much better than a samsung. So, if one needed a smartphone then Apple is the way to go.
Compared to a Samsung, an Apple phone’s user experience is off the charts. With top-tier accessibility and facial recognition, an Apple phone is much better. Over many years iPhone’s have worked pretty much the same in terms of how the phone works. It may not change designs all that often but the continuous use of iOS makes it easy to use for old and new users. Not only does an Apple phone have better accessibility it is also a much faster phone. The speed of a newer iPhone has beat the newer samsungs in how fast the phones work. Apple’s A14 Bionic chip performance far outranks Samsungs Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoCs.
The capabilities and extra features of an iPhone make it one of the best phones to get. Siri, facial recognition, Apple Pay and Apple music give an iPhone a one-up over a Samsung. Many stores recognize Apple Pay as an acceptable way of payment, and yet barely any stores accept Samsung Pay. Along with better features in general, new apps often come out on iOS before Samsung. Apps like Snapchat and Fortnite came out on iOS many months before they came out on the Google Play Store. So overall if you need a new phone, Apple is the way to go.
Samsung
Samsung phones are superior to Apple phones. The variety, the accessibility, the interface all these are done better and most are done first by Samsung. So if one want had to pick Samsung is the way to go
Apple phones don’t compare to Samsung phones. While Apple phones do have features like facial recognition, so does Samsung along with many other features. One of the most notable features of Samsung phones is how customizable they are. Not to mention the range in styles like the Samsung Note phones they come with their own personal stylus. I don’t see Apple doing that. Apple’s new phone may be faster than Samsung’s new phone but it won’t be in the long run. Apple has admitted to purposely slowing down and decreasing battery life on older phones while Samsung doesn’t intentionally do it.
The capabilities in the user interface of Samsung phones puts it in the lead for one of the best friends. While Apple does have cool features and interfaces, Samsung does it better. Take Google assistant for example, it’s much more impressive than apples Siri. Google Assistant can understand more common requests than Siri can and gets most requests right. This mainly has to do with the fact that Google assistant draws from Google search as a database while Siri doesn’t have access to it. Not only that Samsung phones has had it the ability to use split screen and it’s much more user-friendly than Apple’s attempts to do it in the newest phones.
