Uma Upamaka
Uma Upamaka is a current senior at Francis Howell North and is a staffer on the Web staff. Within the past three years at FHN, Upamaka has been involved in various clubs and activities around the school, including golf, Speech and Debate, Mock Trial Model UN, and HOSA. These activities fostered a love for journalism and current events, leading her to be a writer on staff during her sophomore year. During this time, she wrote opinion pieces regarding politics and current events. Thus far, her proudest accomplishments have been qualifying for NSDA Nationals and HOSA Internationals during her junior year. Outside of school, she enjoys volunteering and spending time with her ten-pound Maltese, Snow. She hopes to be a doctor one day and volunteer with Doctors Without Borders.
