New program provides students with college aid

Arriving with the new school year are new opportunities. North is now offering freshmen and sophomores the chance to receive reimbursed college tuition to any community college

or vocational/technical school in Missouri through the A+ Program.

“I think keeping that door open is wise for everybody,” counselor Ann Herman said.

This is the first year North has offered this program to students. This program is a three year process, so juniors and seniors will not be eligible. Underclassmen who participate need to have a 2.5 GPA or higher, 95% attendance, and fifty hours of tutoring. All of these requirements are set by the state.

“I encourage every freshman and sophomore here at North to participate in the A+ Program,” Herman said.
