Breast cancer tournament has great turnout

On Jan. 9, the girls Varsity basketball team won much more than their game against Wentzville Holt; they won the hearts of many breast cancer survivors. With a score of 58-43, the lady knights won the first ever pink ribbon game held at North.
“My favorite part about the game was having all the fans there and the pep band coming to support a good cause,” senior Kendall Blanzy said.
The students, faculty and parents not only paid to get in to the game, but their money was going towards Breast Cancer Awareness.  After the girls game was over the boys played at 7 p.m. against Holt and ended up losing with a score of 46-36.
“I was upset we lost but the game was for a good cause so it was worth it,” senior and Varsity basketball player Mike Moynihan said.
