Judgment

I feel like in today’s society there is way too much judgment. You may have read that and thought that I’m wrong but if you honestly sit and think I’m sure that at one point you have judged someone else. Not everyone realizes that they are doing it but sometimes just the way you look at a person can make them feel judged. Then there are also people that walk around on a daily basis and put others down. Honestly I can’t see how making others feel bad makes you feel better about yourself, I may have a stronger conscious then others but I would never purposely put someone down.

The way people judge and trash talk other peers and even people they don’t know is just sad. There are more important things in life than trying to be popular and trying to get ahead, especially if you hurt others in the process. Some things that I hear when I walk down the halls or sit in class next to people sadden me. It hurts when I hear a group of friends whispering and laughing to each other and then I see them looking in the direction of a person that isn’t “cool.” I know how it feels to have others talk behind your back or look at your outfit in a weird way and when that happens it just makes you feel terrible about yourself.

Other people should not have the ability to make you feel down about yourself. So if you are one of those people that judges others, you should look at yourself to see that you are not perfect and that you also make decisions that aren’t always “cool” and there is always going to be someone else judging you.
