This year, look forward to seeing a variety of bands rocking out on Feb.11 at Fraufest. There will be lots of metal and rock, a rap group, and two acoustically driven bands with vocalists. Also, sponsor and German I through V teacher, Anne McPartland, will sing “Since U Been Gone” by Kelly Clarkson, in German.

“We’re always looking for a fresh mix of music,” McPartland said.

The only thing that’s going to be different with this year’s Fraufest is that it will be on a Friday night rather than a Thursday or Wednesday night.

“Jeff Tandler, the drama teacher, suggested Friday,” McPartland said. “Kids normally go out on Fridays, but we thought we’d try it.”

Everyone in Fraufest hopes to have a big turnout or perhaps even sell out again. The main thing they hope for is that the audience and bands have a good time.

“Whether you’re an audience member or behind the scenes, you feel a strong sense of our camaraderie at North,” McPartland said.
