The wrestling season may be over but the team still has their banquet to look forward to.
The wrestling team had a good season with 5 wrestlers going to State and 2 actually placing.
The team had a lot of success but they didn’t do too good at state. The 2 guys that placed at State could have done better than they did,” said coach Sean Fowler.
Though the season is over they still have their banquet to look forward to. The banquet is Apr. 6 at 6:30 pm. at the Columns Banquet Center. The banquet normally lasts about 2 hours.
“I’m really looking forward to the banquet,” said senior wrestler Brandon Goggin.
At the banquet they eat, talk about how the season went, and watch a slideshow of highlights from the season. At the banquet 3 awards are given out. The awards they give out are best newcomer, outstanding wrestler, and the most improved wrestler.
“My favorite part about the banquet is the slideshow of highlights,” said senior wrestler Brandon Goggin.
They have 7 seniors graduating this year. There are 6wrestlers and 1 being the manager.
“It will be really different next year without the seniors because we will have a very young team since half of the Varsity team was seniors this year,” said coach Fowler.
