The Melting Pot provides a unique experience

When people are looking for a unique restaurant experience, The Melting Pot is perfect. The Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant located in Town and Country, in the Lamp and Lantern Village.

At The Melting Pot, customers enjoy a variety of foods while relaxing in the elegant mood of the restaurant. The meal is meant to be an “experience”, beyond merely “eating”. People sit at special tables which contain a cooking surface, and cook their own meal from special fondue pots heated on the table. A typical dinner at The Melting Pot consists of three courses: a cheese, a seasoned oil, and a chocolate. There are several varieties of cheese, oils, and chocolates from which to choose. Each course is accompanied by a platter of food to be dipped and cooked. For example, during the cheese course, diners dip an assortment of breads, fruits, and vegetables into melted cheeses, and during the main entree a waiter brings a variety of meats, ranging from steak to chicken and lobster, to be cooked in seasoned oils. Each diner has a set of color-coded fondue forks to cook their own selections. During each part of the meal, people are able to relax, socialize and eat at a slow pace while dipping and cooking pieces of food.

“It’s not just a dinner its quality time as well,” senior Abby Rollins says. “I liked that the meal was spaced out because I got to enjoy it all more.”

The Melting Pot is a great place to relax and enjoy good food with the people you care about.

“I’d go back if I had the chance,” said Rollins.
