I recently watched an episode of the show “The Friend Zone” on MTV. This is a show about a person and their friend. One of the people decided they want to be more than friends and pretends to have been set up on a blind date. Little does the other friend know that the date is for them. The friend will either say “yes” or “no” to the date. It seems as though a lot of the time they say “no” because they don’t want to disturb the bond they already have.
I have been seeing a lot of talk on Facebook and Twitter about this show. From what I’ve seen, people are not too surprised when the one friend refuses the date. They don’t understand why people would ruin what they have with someone for what they could have.
It is like jumping off a cliff and not knowing if there will be soft cool sand at the bottom or sharp rocks. If we don’t take chances, how is our life supposed to get my better? I think this show should inspire people. Maybe you don’t have a friend that is looking to further their relationship with you, but maybe it inspires you to jump in to the unknown.
