The Varsity Knightline has a competition coming up on Jan 28. The girls will be competing at St.Charles High School where they’ll be preforming two types of dances, jazz and kick. This week they have been practicing every day to prepare for the event.
“I feel like [our dances] look pretty good, we’ve worked really hard on them,” junior Mean Shelly said.
The last time they participated in this competition was two years ago. In 2010, they placed first in novelty and second in hip-hop. Even though they didn’t participate last year, their past success gives the team confidence that they will do well.
“I feel like weren’t up to par then as they are this year,” junior Kelly Gannon said.
Knighline’s last competition was Dec. 3 at Lindbegh High School were they placed first in kick and fourth in jazz.
“I hope we do good,” senior Amanda Pirrone said, “because we practiced a lot and placed pretty good at our last competition.”
