Dress appropriately for the season

So, we all know that we have been getting some really nice weather lately. I know all of the stores have their swimsuits and shorts out on the racks already. I even bought a pair of white shorts just the other day.The anticipation of spring is in the air. I know it’s hard to resist the bright patterns and cute dresses hanging in your closet, but you have to hold out. It is still February.

We still have another month before we should even think about breaking out the sandals. Just because it is 65 degrees outside doesn’t mean it’s summer. I understand that we are all tired of our sweaters and heavy coats, but we can’t put them away quite yet. This is Missouri and we all know how unpredictable the weather can be. It is still winter. The ground hog even said so, so for the next six weeks save up your spring clothes and keep them in your closet. Do not be wearing short shorts to school. It is winter.

Just because it is warm outside does not always mean that it is warm inside. Something I have never understood is why when people are going to school, why they dress for the weather outside. You are going to be outside for maybe 5 minutes of your school day. You are going to walk in, then, seven hours later, you’re going to walk out. Wear jeans, bring a jacket, it is always going to be cold in school. Then come late March, April, and May when you get home from school is when you should change into your summer/spring attire.
