Micheal Fowler has a sweet tooth for funnel cake. One year ago, he wanted to sell something like funnel cake but with a better texture, so he started his own catering business selling waffles. His business is thriving through word of mouth. Fowler’s most popular waffles are the pizza, breakfast and dessert waffles.
“[Fowler’s] waffle’s aren’t just waffles, they’re a different type of waffles,” assistant Aline Wilson said.
Fowler has other types of food on his menu, including fried chicken, homemade lemonade and french fries.
“He likes to target all taste buds, so the menu consists of food people enjoy,” employee Keyanna Mason said.
Fowler sells his waffles at fundraisers and has had his own stand at the St. Louis America Convention Center. Fowler hopes to one day open his own restaurant.
“[I hope to] present the waffles in different forms to as many people as possible,” Fowler said
