Thanks for your help in this matter.Parents, between now and March 31, 2012, a number of our 9th and 10th grade students will be taking the Safe and Drug-Free Schools Survey in their Business and Industrial Tech Classes.

This survey provides the district with valuable data from the student perspective regarding local tobacco, drug, and alcohol use. It also asks for student’s views on bullying and mental health.

This survey is not mandatory, and if you do not want your student to participate in this survey, please contact Elaine Downs at 851-5027 and she will fax you a Parent Notification Form. Please fill out the form and return it to Elaine Downs in the main office at your earliest convenience. 3/31 Grippi

ATTENTION SENIOR PARENTS: We are asking parents/guardians of seniors to write a letter to your son/daughter (please do not let them read it or see it before hand), put your child’s full name and homeroom teacher’s name on the front of the envelope, and mail or drop it off at North by Thursday April 5th — NO EMAILED LETTERS will be printed. Hand write or type a letter to your son/daughter, then either drop it off in the main office or mail it to North, in care of Dawn Jones, the TASC sponsor.  There is no specific format or length; there is no “right or wrong” way to compose your letter. Most letters reminisce about memories and often contain sentiments that you may not often tell your child– wishing them luck and giving them tidbits of advice for their next stage in life.  Think of this as a chance to let your child know how much you love him/her, how proud you are of him/her, any hopes you have for his/her future, etc.  Please do not put any special items or photos in your letters that can not be replaced. If you have any questions, you can e-mail them to Dawn Jones at[email protected]. 4/13Jones
