Defying the stereotypes of a male dominated hobby, senior Casey Goettel decked out her dream car with some unique features. Her personalized 2002 Camaro, with its black stripes on bright red, makes Goettel feel like she stands out.
“I feel like when I’m driving down the road, everyone knows it’s me,” Goettel said. “I’m proud of it because I put all my money into it and did it all myself.”
By adding kicker subs with flashing lights, fender stripes and many other modifications, Goettel managed to construct a car that she loves, is proud of, and shocks people to see her step out of. It’s a car she’s proud to show off.
“[It’s special because of] all the work she put into it,” senior Angel Moore said. “I know she likes showing it off. She likes all the cool stuff she’s put in.”
