Students prep for AP World History test

BY SARAH TESON

FHN begins their College Board AP testing on May 7. The 2011-2012 school year was the first year AP World History was offered. A class of seniors and sophomores will be taking the World History College Board exam on Thursday, May 17. This is one of the last AP tests being taken at North. Some students view this specific course as challenging.

“AP World History is a very intensive and fast pace course,” senior Juam Remolina said. “It involves a lot of reading and self discipline.”

Regardless of the extensive studying and grueling curriculum of this class, many of the students feel as though they are ready and more than prepared to take the College Board test.

“Our class has written essays and taken lengthy tests preparing us for what will come the AP exam,” senior Daniel Rosse said. “We even assigned certain days after school and on the weekends to attack problems that could come up on the AP test.”

These extra study days give the students a sigh of relief. It also gives them hope that they will perform well on the test. Some students feel as though they are more than prepared while others feel nervous.

“I do feel as though I am prepared to take the test, but I’m nervous,” Rosse said. “I feel like I know the things I need in order to do well.”

Remolina shows his assertiveness by stating, “We will be ready for that [AP World History] test.”
