ANNOUNCEMENTS
(*) Indicates new information*Cancellations for today: Varsity and JV baseball, and Freshman girls soccer tournament, JV girls soccer practice is cancelled for today. 5/7 Janes*Seniors, time is running out! If you have any fines you will NOT receive your tickets for graduation on May 18 and May 21. Please make sure you have taken care of all obligations for graduation.

*STUDENTS WILL NOT BE CALLED FROM A CLASSTO ACCEPT DELIVERIES SUCH AS BOOKS, HOMEWORK, LUNCH, MONEY, OR TO SPEAK WITH A PARENT/RELATIVE, ETC. WE CANNOT DISRUPT CLASSES FOR THESE REASONS. STUDENTS MUST PICK THESE ITEMS UP DURING PASSING PERIODS. Calling all Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors: There will be a meeting today in room 135 for any student wanting to run for a class officer position. Students can attend the meeting eitherbefore school at 7:00, or after school at 2:30; students MUST attend one or the other. No exceptions. 5/7 Smith

*Attn All students who were invited to the KOE Picnic which was cancelled due to weather conditions.  We will be distributing ice cream during all lunches on Wednesday May 9th.  You do not need your arm band BUT you do need your student ID to show you were on the list of invited students. 5/9 Holmes

*Are you on the newspaper, yearbook, video or web staffs next year at North? We will have a final meeting in May just to make sure we are all set with things for summer and next year. You have three choices of meetings. You only need to attend one of the meetings. The meetings will be in room 026 and you need to come to one of them. Here are your options:

  • Tuesday, May 8 at 6:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, May 9 at 6:30 a.m.
  • Thursday, May 10 at 2:30 p.m.

*FHN Stucco will be selling Mr. FHN tickets tomorrow thru Thursday for $5 or you can buy them at the door. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Mr. FHN will be May 10th. 5/10 Parks

*Mark your calanders & come to Culver’s in St. Charles Monday May 14th between 5-10pm.  FHN football players will be working to raise money for the 2012 football season.  Tell students, teachers, staff, family, friends, neighbors, anyone you meet to come to Culver’s for a treat!  Remember a percentage of ALL SALES between the hours of 5pm & 10pm will go to help the FHN Football program. EVERYONE is welcome whether you drive thru or come in & stay.  You never know who you may meet! 5/14 Schultze

*SENIOR COOK OUT AND MOVIE NIGHT- Tickets will be on sale beginning Wed. May 9th, during all three lunches, for any senior wishing to attend the cook out and movie night on the football field. Tickets are $2.00 and must be purchased in advance; the deadline to buy your ticket is Wed, May 16th.  The event will take place on Friday, May 18th beginning at 6:30 and will last until 10:30. We will be having a cook out and “senior Olympics,” followed by a movie on an outdoor, inflatable movie screen. See any senior class officer, or Mrs. Smith, for more details. All food at the event will be free. 5/16 Smith

*KISS A SENIOR GOODBYE –Senior class delegates will be selling “Kiss A Senior Goodbye” messages beginning Wed. May 9th during all three lunches. All messages will be accompanied by a small bag of Hershey kisses and will be delivered Friday morning, May 18th. Messages can be purchased by anyone, including seniors, underclassmen, staff members and family members; the cost for each message is 50 cents and can be purchased through Wednesday, May 16th. 5/16 Smith

The class of 2012 is looking forward to their up coming Allknighter.  In order to make this night a success for our students we are seeking donations.  Donated items can be:

  • Tutoring is held after school Monday from 2:30 to 3:30 in room 205.
  • Tutoring is held after school Tuesday and Friday from 2:30 to 3:30 in room 207.
  • Tutoring is held after school Thursday from 2:30-3:30 in room 224
  • Math tutoring is also available during Wednesday Home room time as well– see your math teacher.
  • Volunteer peer tutors and paid tutors can be located by contacting the Guidance office at 851-5099.

FHSD to Host Heroin and Prescription Drug Town Hall-In an effort to educate our community about the growing use of heroin and abuse of prescription drugs among youth in our area, the Francis Howell School District is hosting a town hall forum on Tuesday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium at Francis Howell Central High School, 5199 Highway N, Cottleville, MO 63304. The event is organized by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (NCADA) and local law enforcement agencies. Click here for more information. 5/8 Henry
Activities & Clubs
*ANIME MANGA CLUB’s last meeting of the school year is THURSDAY,  May 10 in Room 002, not 231!
Bring $3 or $4 to contribute toward the cost of the  Japanese food. 2:30-4:00 p.m. 5/10 Davis*Attention Art Club members-There will be a meeting Thursday after school in Mr. Leistner’s Room 160.  We are continuing to paint our mural. 5/10 LeistnerCalling all musicians!  The FHN Knightpride Marching Band is hosting an Ice Breaker for all students new to marching band.  Students are invited to bring their parents.  The event will be Saturday, May 12th, 11 am – 1 pm, in the FHN band room.  This informational event will begin with an orientation meeting for parents and recreation for the students.  Lunch will be served immediately following the meeting.  There will be time to meet our great staff and current band students and their parents.  No tryouts are required for marching band.  Color Guard tryouts will be held May 16-18 at North with more information to follow.  For any questions, please contact Mr. Moorman atjeffrey.moorman@fhsdschools.org or 636-851-5078 or Mardi House at [email protected] or 314-853-5418. 5/12 House

PARENT NEWS
Bringing food to school for Students-due to district policy, you may only bring in food for your student. Thanks for your help in this matter.*Junior Parents-  WE NEED YOUR HELP.  We are beginning to plan for the 2013 All-Knighter.   It may seem early but we have a few things that start immediately.  Our next meeting is May 14th at 6:30 pm in room 164.   We have a couple fundraisers to get started and need to plan some junior parent duties at the 2012 All-Knighter.  We are in DESPERATE need of volunteers to take down decorations on June 3rd after the All-Knighter.  We can begin as early as 4 am and it should only take a few hours.    Please join us for the meeting or contact us by email.  Holly Gannon[email protected]  and Cheryl Pavolka [email protected]5/14 GannonPictures taken by Prestige Portraits at Prom are now available on-line.  Go to www.prestigeportraits-stl.com and enter the event password of 98197PM2. A reminder to parents of graduating seniors and graduating seniors: The administrators of FHN want to advise you of the consequeces of senior pranks which could result in students not walking at the graduation ceremony and/or not receiving their diploma.
