Sophomores, Staff Victorious In DECA Jump-Off

The 10th annual Deca Game Jump Off started with the sophomores & juniors getting ready to go against each other.

“For the game I listened to some juicy J, something tuff to get me ready for the game,” Junior Jake Victorian said.

The sophomores were somewhat skeptical about playing against the juniors .

“I was kinda nervous going up against the juniors, I didn’t think we would win, but we came through & won,” Sophomore Jordan Boettcher said.

The first quarter the juniors won with the score being 9 to 1, but the game quickly picked up in the final seconds of the game & the score was 16 to 16. Both teams were trying to get the last point, the sophomores played hard & got the winning point, putting the final score at 18 to 16.

“I felt like it was a battle the whole game, but we never gave up,” Coach AJ Schulze said.

The juniors played hard too & felt the sophomores played well too.

“I thought it was really fun, I could have played better, but I give it to the sophomores & freshmen. They earned it,” Junior Kayla Andrzejewski said.

During half time the varsity knight line performed their Pom dance to “We Run The Night- Havanah Brown”.

“I felt alright, it went pretty good,”- Sam Immekus

The second half of the jump off started with the seniors playing against the undefeated staff, according to Doc the MC.

“I thought we felt very confident before the game,” Senior Tabari Grubbs said.

“I think we played well for us not to have had any practices, we came in and played well and we put the young pucks to rest.” Staff member Coach Gregory said.

Although the seniors didn’t win the game, they were still happy with the end results.

” I think we played good, our team did good,” Senior Braxton Petty said.
