Congratulations to the Boys Swim team on their 8th place finish at GAC’s this year. Outstanding swimmers earning individual points in finals were: Brandan Sandbothe,  12th grade in the 100 yard Breaststroke. Brandan finished in 7th place. Sean Pirrone, 10th grade in the 200 yard Individual medley- 8th place and in the 100 yard Butterfly finishing in 9th place. Congratulations again to all Relay and Individual swimmers. 11/28 Kelly

At this past weekend’s Speech and Debate tournament: Smitha Milli took 5th in Champ Lincoln-Douglas,

Alex Groenweghe took 5th in Open Lincoln-Douglas, andFreshman Zoe Lawson took 2nd in the Novice division in Lincoln-Douglas Debate. These three were debating the resolution:  The United States should grant non-citizens the same Constitutional Rights of Due Process granted to its own citizens.

Also: Smitha Milli also brought home a 5th place trophy in Impromptu Speaking, Gabby Jones and Rachel Rotter finaled in Novice Poetry (top 6).

In LD debate, there were at least 25 entries in each division.  I’m very proud of my 3 LD debaters but I take no credit for their success.  The three of them work hard together and it shows. Our team is small but mighty! 11/28 Maher

THE ACT
ACT recognizes and appreciates the important role you play in preparing students for the ACT. You may be aware ACT has been implementing new test security requirements, including the provision of a photo with the student’s test registration. Photos will be used for identification purposes on test day and on the student’s high school score report.
If you have students who are testing in December, the photo upload deadline is 12 noon, central time, December 4. If students miss this deadline, their registration will be cancelled and they will not be allowed to test. This policy will be strictly enforced.
If your students have questions about providing a photo, you can refer to our photo submission requirements for more information. This page also includes photo deadline dates for all future 2012-13 national test dates.
If you have further questions about our test security policies, you can visit www.act.org/idenhancements. 12/4 Woodrum
