on Jan. 26 the Blizzard Black Out Dance, or better known as snowcoming will be held in the commons from 7-10. The Blizzard Black out is a more lowkey version of homecoming.

“Snowcoming is just for kids to have another dance, and have fun, but it doesn’t cost as much,” Shelly Parks, Co-Sponsor of Stuco said.

On Jan. 16 tickets will go on sale for the dance during lunches from the 16-24. Tickets will be starting at 10 dollars.

“Yea, tickets are sold from the 16-24, they are sold on different days for guest,” Parks said.

If you would like to bring one guest, you would have to get a permission slip from the office, the stuco nook, room 133, or 117. Guest tickets will be sold on Tuesday 22 and Thursday 24 before and after school only in room 217.

“I hope people bring guest, I think this dance will be fun, the attendance gets higher every year.” Parks said.

Past snowcoming attendees like the lowkey factor of the dance and the casualness of the dance.

“I liked how lowkey it was, how laid back it was, and it wasn’t as formal so I didn’t have to wear a dress,” Skylin Henard, Past attendee said.

According to last years attendee they had time and room to dance normally instead of the more “provocative” dancing people usually see at homecoming.

“I danced with my friends and had fun, there wasn’t really anybody “grinding”.” Austin Polhamus, Past attendee said.

The dance will have nice spin on the refreshments and decorations.

“A lot more people come, techno bubbles are the really cool thing, they’re usually a big hit and they always try to do something really cool with refreshments,” Parks said.
