The Metts house was empty March 8-10 when the Metts sisters, Tiffany and  Kristen went on separate trips for the weekend. Junior Tiffany went to Tennessee with her parents, two younger sisters, and brother while freshman Kristen traveled to Chicago for the weekend.

“Our family went to Nashville for the weekend for my little sister’s gymnastics meet. We went to Wildhorse Salon and got the DJ to try out a cartwheel. It was nice to get away for a few days.” Tiffany said.

Meanwhile, Kristen headed off to Chicago with her friend and her friend’s family who took a trip to the city for a weekend of fun.

“The weekend consisted of lots of restaurants and lots of shopping. The best of the trip was getting to spend time with my best friend [Nicole Morse] because I always have a blast when I’m around her and her family is so much fun to be around,” Kristen said.

Being a pretty close-knit family, Kristen felt bad about missing her sisters meet and missing out on spending time with the family.

“It would’ve been really nice to go. I wish I could’ve been there for her because I’m her older sister and she should look up to me. Also the weather was nice there which I would have enjoyed because I’m tired of Missouri weather and it was rainy and snowy in Chicago,” Kristen said.

Neither sisters wanted to return to Missouri when their trips came to an end. Both of them agreed that spending some more time shopping and adventuring during their spring break wouldn’t have hurt.

“I definitely wanted to stay longer. I could’ve stayed at least another week there, but then I would have started to miss home a lot,” Kristen said.
