During a homeroom on April 26, all juniors were taken to the Auditorium for an informational meeting regarding their Senior Portrait for the yearbook.  They were also given a flyer fromLifetouch/Prestige Portraits.  The following items were discussed:

  1. Students must have their picture taken by Lifetouch/Prestige in order to be included in the yearbook and the senior composite that hangs in the hallway.  Wecannot take pictures from 3rd party vendors for inclusion into the yearbook or Senior Composite.
  2. Lifetouch/Prestige will be at FHN taking pictures in the Choir Room (room 58) for the week of June 18th through 21st.  You will receive an appointment card in the mail.  If for some reason you are unable to make the appointment, please call the phone number on the card.
  3. There is no charge to have your pictures taken.  Several poses will be taken, including a cap and gown portrait.
  4. Boys should wear a button down shirt and tie, girls should wear a nice blouse or sweater (no low cut tops, spaghetti straps, etc).  No T-shirts please.  Please follow the school dress code.  FHN reserves the right to exclude any photo that violates the school dress code.  Students should arrive to their sitting already dressed for their senior picture.
  5. A portrait preview sheet with on-line viewing information will be mailed home approximately 2 weeks after your photo session.  Students must go on-line and choose the photo they want in the yearbook.  If you do not choose your yearbook photo, Lifetouch/Prestige will choose one for you.  You will also have the option of purchasing photos on-line.
  6. Students who have their picture taken in June will also have their student ID made from this picture.  This eliminates the need to have an ID picture taken at schedule pick-up!
  7. Having only your ID picture taken is not a Senior Yearbook picture.  You must attend a Senior Yearbook picture session!
  8. Students who do not have their photo taken during the assigned week in June will be able to have their picture taken on a make-up day.  Make up days will be scheduled during the fall on days where there is no school in session.  August 30 will be our first make-up day (no school for students due to staff Professional Development day).  The final make-up days will occur during fall break in October.
  9. If students do not attend our picture dates at school they will also have the option of going to the Lifetouch/Prestige studio on Mid Rivers Mall Drive in St Peters where a sitting fee will be charged.  This option is available through October 1st.

10.   If you have any questions please contact Prestige Portraits at 314-            963-1414. 8/30 Kearns

FINAL EXAMS are May 23rd (1st, 2nd, and 7th hours), May 24th(3rd and 4th hours), and May 28th (5th and 6th hours).  School will dismiss at the regular time on May 23rd and at 11:25 on May 24thand May 28th .  Students are not allowed to take exams earlier than the dates and times listed above.  If your student is absent on any of these dates, please call the Attendance office at 851-5893 on the date of the absence.  Student must also bring a written note when they return or when they take their final exam to excuse the absence.  Students must arrive to class on time.  Students will not be allowed to enter class late.  Any late arrivals will be required to take their exam on the exam make-up days.  Additionally, during final exams, we will not be able to call into classrooms or interrupt classes in any way.  Any passes for early dismissal must be taken care of before the start of school with a note from a parent.  Students may only leave at the end of class period.  Students will not be able to leave at any time during a class hour.  Students will only be called to the office in-between classes to pick up messages or anything else that may be dropped off by parents.

2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday, May 29th from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Make up exams are held in room 218.  Students may attend any of the make-up sessions – no appointment is necessary.  Students must bring a photo ID with them in order to take their final exam.  Students should bring at least TWO number two lead pencils or any other items that may be required for completion of exams.

****If a student chooses not to participate in the optional intervention format, they need to be at school and in class by the beginning of the first exam session at 8:20 AM. No parent note is required for any student who chooses to arrive to school by 8:20 AM.

However, students who arrive late to class once exams begin will not be allowed to take the exam.  Late students will need to take the exam they missed during the makeup exam schedule. 5/28 Grippi

SENIOR PARENTS:  Please consider spending any time you can spare helping to decorate the week before the Graduation.  Due to the snow days, we cannot begin until Tuesday.  Our decorating hours are Tuesday after school till 9pm and Wednesday-Friday 9 am-9pm.  We need a lot of help due the the time crunch!  Need more information contact Holly Gannon at [email protected]. 5/28 Gannon

*Parents of seniors know that if they have lunch money left, they need to send a note requesting a refund with their student or transfer the money to a sibling’s account? We don’t have a checking system to send money home after the school year is over. The district would also like any charges paid before graduation.  5/28 Mann
