The current Fall/Winter season has plenty of options for you to look good. Layering is now a big thing this season, and it’s easy to do. First, you’re going to want to start off with outerwear. Outerwear (jackets, coats, pullovers) is something you don’t want to skimp out on. A $300 coat will last you years while a $50 pleather one won’t last you one season. If you’re not going to spend a ton on outerwear, you’ll have plenty of options though, like MA-1s (bomber jackets), Varsity jackets, and denim jackets. For low end, but still incredibly functional jackets or coats, take a look at Uniqlo. They have many options for outerwear, ranging from wool coats to parkas. If you’re looking to blow some extra cash, take a look at Barbour, they have some great waterproof coats.

The next thing you’re going to want to take a look at is shirts. Button ups are perfect for some Fall/Winter style, and there are

plenty of options. The biggest thing to worry about with buying button-ups is the fit, which should be a concern with everything you buy. You don’t want your shirt or pants to be so baggy that you’re drowning in them, and you don’t want them skin tight either. I recommend taking a look at PacSun for some nice button-ups. All over print button-ups can look nice in minute amounts, meaning that the shirt should be your accent or your main piece. If you want to wear an all-over-print button-up, I recommend wearing something over it. If you’re looking for some shirts that are more expensive, take a look at some online boutiques like TRÈS BIEN or RSVP Gallery. They have some great choices that can possibly break the bank, so shop with caution.

The layer under the button-up, the T-shirt, is also an essential piece to your wardrobe. T-shirts are pretty easy to take care of, though. Personally, I recommend going against graphic tees, but if you insist on wearing some, wear one with minimal graphics, or one with a small amount of branding. If you need some blank ones, I suggest taking a look at H&M. They have plenty of colors to choose from, and at $5 each, they’re a great deal.

The next thing to take a look at is your pants. The thing with pants is that a lot if it is personal preference. I personally like my pants to be skinny or slim fit. If you are like me, I recommend taking a look at Levi’s 511s or 510s. If you like a straighter cut, I recommend Levi’s 514’s. If you want to spend some extra cash or just wanting to expand your denim range, take a look at raw denim. Raw denim is untreated, unwashed denim that fades naturally rather than being washed with prefades. Raw denim can be expensive, so I recommend taking a look at Unbranded. They have plenty of cuts and are pretty inexpensive, around $60, which is about the same as Levi’s.

With it being the Fall/Winter season, you now have some options with shoes, like boots. Shoes are another thing you don’t want to skip out on, especially boots. Take a look at either some Red Wings or Doc Martens, they’re great boots and they’ll last you forever. For sneakers I suggest you take a look at some Vans Sk8-His. They’re great shoes and come in plenty of colorways. I suggest throwing down some extra grip for the Vans x WTAPS 2013 Sk8-His. They’re simple and come in a great olive color that’s perfect for fall. These are great and easy ways to get into some Fall/Winter style and you should use this guide as an outline to help you look good this season.
