On Dec. 11, Doc Hennefent was getting fed up with his fitness walking class not walking. So Doc decided to go into the closet pull out the speaker used for the intensity training, hooked up his laptop, and started to searched “Dance Party Music.” All of the students were befuddled at first at what was going on, but soon joined in and had fun with it.
“Doc is literally making us dance,” sophomore Zach Young said. “We honestly don’t know what is happening.”
Doc played songs like the “Cha Cha Slide,” “Twist and Shout,”and “The Cupid Shuffle.” But when the students requested to play songs like “The Wop” and “Wobble,” Doc’s replied with “Is that legal?” Most of the students stepped in and had a little fun with the spontaneous opportunity.
“I would rather do that than walk in a 20 yard circle,” senior Jared Vollmer said.
