With the weather turning cooler, we are reminded that winter will be here before long, including the frozen white stuff (snow) that is both looked forward to and dreaded.  This is a reminder that we have snow days built into our school calendar, and we request that vacations not be scheduled on these days when we may have school to make up for missed days due to snow or other inclement weather.  Make up dates are listed below:

The Neon Knights Winter Dance will take place in the FHN Commons on Saturday, February 1st from 7-10pm.  Tickets will be sold in all lunches for $10 from Jan. 22nd-31st.  Guest forms can be picked up in the main office or outside room 133.  This dance’s attire is casual/semi-formal.  Hope to see you there!  We will have Tekno Bubbles again! 2/1 Wilkens
Registration is now open for any students currently enrolled in AP Chemistry, AP Stats, or AP Calculus wanting to receive Advanced Credit through UMSL. *I wanted to share some wonderful news with you.  This afternoon, FHN received a visit from representatives of the Peabody Energy Leaders in Education Committee.  I am proud to announce that Mr. Aaron Manfull was selected as a Leader in Education and was presented with an award of $1000.00.

Aaron is one of 33 educators in the St. Louis area who was presented with this award.  Out of those 33 educators, one person will be selected to represent the St. Louis area and will receive a $5000 dollar award. This will occur in August.

I know you join me in congratulating Aaron on this award.
