On Saturday May 17th the Francis Howell North Baseball team played cross town rivals Francis Howell Central in the opening game of the Class 5 play-offs at Ft. Zumwalt East.
The Knights defense came weak in the first few innings giving up 2 runs and allowing several hitters on base.
The 5th inning saw a complete break down with pitcher Nick Meyers allowing the bases to be loaded and then giving up a hit to the right field corner allowing 3 runs to come in. Myers would give up 2 more before the close of the inning and was removed for the rest of the game.
Down 0-7 Kevin Braduis and Tyler Farlow managed to only allow central one more run the rest of the game, but the Knights could not get the bats going. The Game ended in 6 1/2 innings with the Knights being shut-out 0-8.
The Howell North Baseball Team will hang-up their equipment for the season while Howell Central moves on the play Ft. Zumwalt South Monday, May 19th.
