Homecoming dresses getting smaller

Homecoming is a time when the entire school can celebrate school spirit, and dress up for a night of fun. Many girls get really into dressing up because for most freshmen and sophomores this is the only dance they get all year. Although some girls tend to

go a little overboard with their dresses, or should I say under board.

Many high school girls these days are wearing less and less for homecoming. They wear dresses that barely come past their bottom, and don’t cover their chest.  Some of the dresses would be gorgeous if they covered the necessary parts, but the only thing anyone will be looking at is the fact that the girl is wearing a tiny little bitty dress with everything out.

The dress code for Homecoming is the same as everyday at school which is the seven B’s. No breasts, bras, butts, boxers, backs, bellies, or bedroom wear. Some of these aren’t really a problem at the dance but others definitely are.

Most girls do not appreciate guys being disrespectful to them and calling them demeaning names. One thing those girls don’t realize is that they are giving guys a reason to call them those names by dressing like that.

Also a lot of these dresses cost from $100 to over $200. It seems as if the smaller the dress, the higher the cost. I think it is absolutely ridiculous to pay a higher amount for less actual clothing that also will only be worn once.

So girls please cover yourselves, because you can look just as beautiful with a dress that covers you than one that has everything hanging out.

I agree with this at home coming and at school. As a female, I think girls are disrespecting themselves with these “clothes” and making themselves a target to sexual comments. Im not saying all girls do this, but a majority do this because its “in style”
“in style” should not cost girls self worth or loss of respect.
