It may be hard to believe but America is not the only country that has a nationally recognized football league. In fact one of the most popular leagues outside of the United States is the CFL or Canadian Football League in the great country of Canada! That’s right, our neighbors to the north can put on helmets and shoulder pads just like us. This authentic imitation of the NFL was founded in 1952. There are ten teams in the league, split into two conferences. Right now the Calgary Stampeders have the best record in the league with 13 wins and look to win the coveted Grey Cup.
When the NFL becomes too professional, and when college football has too many blowouts, go to a league filled with players that couldn’t make it in the NFL, and Canadians. Because there are less teams then those leagues, the CFL unites much larger regions of the country. So if you’re a die hard fan of football check out a league thats a lot colder and a lot smaller than what you’re used to. But you’ll probably have to use the internet, because if you’re getting Canadian television, somethings wrong.
