JL Cage’s Three Count. No.2: Feb 25, 2016

JL+Cage%E2%80%99s+Three+Count.+No.2%3A+Feb+25%2C+2016

In this edition of JL Cage’s Three Count we look at the three confirmed matches for WrestleMania 32 with 38 days to go before the “show of shows”.

  1. WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: Triple H(c) vs. Roman Reigns

He’s one that still has me scratching my head. The fans just aren’t getting behind babyface(hero) Roman Reigns. He’s being booed out of every building he walks into. He even had a beer thrown at him this past Monday night on Raw. Most fans just don’t like him. This is the John Cena situation, but much worse. Yet WWE is still booking him as their top babyface. Maybe it’ll work out, maybe it won’t, only time will tell.

For Triple H it’s the opposite. Yes, there are some fans that believe that he shouldn’t be the champion at this stage in his career. But, if this is his last title run it’s cool to see him with the strap but it could’ve been so much better if he wasn’t the heel(villain) and Reigns was the heel. As far as WrestleMania goes. The match will exceed expectations, because the hype simply isn’t there.

  1. Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar: No Hold Barred

This match is going to be absolutely fantastic. You have the beast in Brock Lesnar squaring off against the crazy man lunatic Dean Ambrose. Brock’s hard hitting style proves very entertaining, pair that up with Dean Ambrose’s exotic style offense and we’re in for something special. The upcoming weeks prove vital for this feud which has already been booked strongly with Brock Lesnar attacking Ambrose in the parking lot sending him to the hospital and Ambrose driving the ambulance back into the arena to confront Lesnar. Paul Heyman and Dean Ambrose will make for some fantastic mic work leading into the “big one”. This is a match of true WrestleMania caliber.

  1. Shane McMahon vs The Undertaker: Hell in a Cell (If Shane McMahon wins he gains control of Monday Night Raw)

This match came out of nowhere. Out of thin air. No one saw this coming. So, Shane McMahon returned to WWE after six years of absence to confront his father and sister over the legacy award. This led to Shane demanding control of Monday Night Raw. which led to Vince McMahon obliging to his son’s request if he could win one match of Vince’s choosing. The match… Shane McMahon would have to beat The Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania. The odds are nearly impossible. The Undertaker is 22-1 at WrestleMania with his sole loss happening two years ago against the beast incarnate Brock Lesnar. Shane McMahon hasn’t wrestled in years. But that doesn’t matter because Shane McMahon has never had a bad match in his career. This match will be the show stealer. It just doesn’t get any better than this.

Good write up, I agree Shane vs Taker will no doubt steal the show. I just have to think, how does Taker feel about this match. He’s a loyal guy but HIAC loyal?
