This year FHN Winter break gives students free days for enjoying winter time. During that time, teachers and students can relax and spend time with their families, sitting in the warm house by the chimney and listening to Christmas songs. Although it is undoubtedly pleasant, after a few days it can become boring… So how to plan some activities for this time and escape from boredom?

  1. First thing you can do is pretend that you are movie director, write a movie script then record a movie with your friends or family. The winter climate can make a beautiful background and scenery. You can make a lot of fun and good memories from that kind of activity. You could also make do winter photo session with your friends.

  2. You can prepare a movie marathon and invite your friends. Get some snacks, hot chocolate and watch Christmas movies.

  3. The St. Louis Science Center offers a lot of attractions. Every first Friday of the month you can participate in science activities, like a free planetarium show. Visit there to get some knowledge from science behind the scenes.

  4. The Geocaching App turns every location into an adventure. Join the world’s largest treasure hunting game and discover the world around you in a whole new way. Millions of cleverly hidden containers called geocaches are waiting to be found.

  5. Christmas is a good time for not just taking but also giving. Why don’t you spend one day on helping people in need? You can volunteer in a place where food for homeless people is served during Christmas or you can go to the nearest animal shelter and spend a day with abandoned animals.

There’s thousands of things you can do during Winter break. Let’s use that time as well as we can!
