2023 Knights of the Round Table to Take Place on March 8
Knights of the Round Table is one of FHN’s most prestigious awards that a student can receive. The ceremony is held in the big gym, and faculty throughout the school get to nominate one student for any reason of their choosing. This year’s induction ceremony is being held on March 8 at 6:30 p.m.
“It’s a really cool way to recognize all kinds of different kids,” KOE sponsor and English teacher Lindsey Scheller said.
Students are called up in alphabetical order and they get to hear the reasons why their respective teacher nominated them and then receive the medal from the teacher and take a photo with them. This year, around 85 students will be recognized at the ceremony. Everyone who has been nominated as a Knight of the Round Table can wear their medal to their graduation.
“I think it’s cool that you get to wear it at graduation and show that you received this award,” 2022 Knight of the Round Table nominee and senior Hayden Crafts said. “I think getting it is like a big accomplishment that deserves the recognition for it.”
