On Dec. 16 Francis Howell High School held a basketball tournament for the Special Olympics athletes. FHN’s girls basketball team helped to coach the players, and ref the games. Members of NHS were there volunteering for the concession stand. “We connect Special Olympics and Francis Howell, but you don’t have to be a part of the district. We just try to get any athlete involved. Two tournaments are hosted throughout the year, our annual basketball tournament and our softball tournament, which was at FHN in August,” FHSD’s Special Olympics Director Eddie Mulholland said.
