Make icecream with the snow
This may be touchy for the picky eaters and germaphobes. If you get a large amount of fluffy and full snow, this may be something to consider. Just take the CLEAN snow, look for the white powder with no sticks and a layer or two off the ground (not the yellow or brown snow), mix in some sweetened condensed milk and vanilla and you’ve got a new treat. Make something other than a snowman
At this point, snowmen are overrated. Try making a duck or your favorite pokemon. Attempt something new. Chances are that if you can make a snowman, one of these may be easier to make (certainly smaller). All you need is a shovel, a pair of gloves, and some snow.
Hide things in the snow
Be sure to steal your siblings’ stuff for this one. Got a little action figure that you are fine maybe losing for a bit? Take it and shove it under the snow and make your siblings look for it. The elite parents who want their children to be outside could venture to put $5 or candy in an easter egg and put that under the snow.
Bring the snow inside
The cold outdoors isn’t for everyone. Maybe on your snowday you want to stay in the warmth of your house but still want to play in the snow. Take a short venture outside with a large bowl in tow, fill it with snow and bring it inside. Your best bet is to put the snow in your kitchen sink and play with it there. If you have a large enough bowl, you can fill the whole sink. When you are done with the snow, you can just let it melt in the sink.
Have a picnic outside
This is for the adventurous cold lovers. Grab your blankets (or maybe tarps), dress in your warmest and most waterproof clothes, grab some food and head outside. It’s like a normal picnic but much colder and wetter and definitely more interesting.
